Attorney client privilege..well, yes, that is STILL here. As Ronnie settles in to retirement and more vacations and more years on the Woodside Town Council, life goes on.
I haven't written the bar complaint against Ron for sharing privileged client information with opposing counsel, but I have been busy writing bar complaints for a client.
And to all those who say, "It makes no difference - they get away with everything." I am here to tell you: IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE! I got $105,000 - yes 105K zeroed out on her attorney fees from this bar complaint. She has now received an official letter from him that she owes him nothing!
How many of you reading this have that feeling you were overcharged, taken to the cleaners, and abused by your attorney? Did you know that family law attorneys, on the average, charge double what most civil law attorneys do? Ron charged $350 an hour to do nothing except forward emails from his client - he was also good at complaining and not reading case law and not following either collaborative guidelines or family code or state law or constitutional law.
Well, at least he doesn't charge $650 like the attorney who just lost 105K because of a bar complaint.
Since I haven't written the bar complaint against Ron, I'll revisit his ethics as he walks his way into government one more (last?) time:
In any situation devoid of oversight, corruption creeps in.

Attorney-client privilege has a such high place in CA law that breaking it by sharing client emails with opposing counsel is reason for disbarment.
If a lawyer cares so little about following the law, about ethics violations, can this same lawyer really be the model for the citizens of Woodside? (of course! corruption in government - what else is new? - well, a Bar complaint against Pauline Tesler for one! I had nothing to do with this one - its nice to see others not afraid to say' The Emperor Has No Clothes' -
